Spring Color in the Garden Hello everyone, I hope your week is going well. I have been spending as much time as possible out in the garden these lovelyspring days. The garden is rapidly springing to life now and everyday brings more color. Daffodils are the main show though as I have planted hundreds of bulbs and they have multiplied nicely. I love all the varieties. Pulsatilla vulgaris or pasque flower Tulips and daffodils muscari Fritillaria ~ Snake's Head I am looking forward to the lilacs blooming and they are covered in buds this year so it won't be long! Just a quick look at what is blooming in the garden now. The trees are leafing out and the grass is lush and green....such a pretty time of the year and especially welcome after such a long winter! Relaxing in the Boathouse Happy Weekend! Now that the warmer weather is here one of my favorite places to relax is in our little boathouse by our pond. It is the perfect place to curl up with a book and a cup of tea. It has a sailboat and summer theme. Relax While you are here you can watch the ducks or geese float by. Spring Blue And White Transferware Tea Hello everyone, I hope you are enjoying these beautiful spring days. I am happy to be able to pick a lovely spring bouquet from the garden once again. The blue and white transferware was a gift from my husband a few years ago.The little embroidered tea themed tablecloth was a thrift find. Organic coconut yogurt with strawberries is our treat today. A spring bouquet. It is wonderful to have the grass green again after such a long winter. The trees are leafing out and I notice that the lilacs are loaded with buds this year......so many good things to look forward too! Small Spring Pleasures Hello everyone, We have had some beautiful sunny spring days so the garden is popping as we speak! I am enjoying working in the garden but also, my little strolls around to see what is growing or blooming. The photo above is muscari with lutes in the background. I am always happy to see cheerful daffodils in the garden again. Love this early little bloomer ,Lutea. Glory of the snow Daffodils and hyacinths Our magnolia stellata is starting to bloom Spring has finally arrived! Now, it is time for a Spring Tea..... another small pleasure.! A Spring Tea Hello everyone, I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Mother's Day weekend. It was my first time to not be able to celebrate with my own sweet Mama but I was happy to spend time with each of my own children.......and they came bearing garden gifts~ they know what makes me happy! So, it is a spring time tea today in the sun room with lots of pretty tulips. This teapot is called Blushing Beauty. You can never have too many tulips.By next week I should be able to pick tulips from our garden again. I just came in from the garden for a short tea break so I better get back out there as it is nice and sunny today.
